Barbie: The Princess and the Popstar is an animated direct-to-video film scheduled to be released in the fall of 2012 in celebration of Universal's centennial anniversary. It is the twenty-third in the Barbie film series and the second Barbie film (the first was Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper) to be based on The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain.
